Australia Post calling!

My well excersized postie just dropped this in to me:

Jolly Jumbuck semi custom Christmas Shorties for Charlie (Front (L) and Back (R) pic). As usual Irene has done an amazing job. I can't wait for him to wake up now so I can get them on him :-)

Wool Booster - I've never tried one of these and am looking forward to it. Charlie has turned into a fireman in the pants department iykwim!

It really goes to show how each child is uniqly different to the next and I see this magnified with twins. Luke, the eldest and smallest twin crawled at 9m, his elder brother Charlie didn't crawl properly until he was 13m. I heard the boys wake this morning as usual and when I went in this is how I found Luke (11m &4days):

Charlie did not stnad in his cot (or anywhere for that matter) until he was 14m old! Wil the bigger and younger twin does not put any weight on his feet and can only do a lopsided commando crawl at the moment - All uniquly different but loved all the same :-)
Suraya is at daycare today, so it's a quiet day here today. I have to return a call to interview a new daycare mum. We had one, and when she was here she was great but unfortunately she had too many other commitments and was turning up less and less often. We've been fortunate enough to have an 'In home care' service in our area which means I can have someone look after my kids in my home. As much as I love my kids, it's nice to be able to duck off to the shops alone without having to unload the twin pram, then get stopped by every second person on the way in - it turns a 10min trip into a 45min expidition! I do understand why we stop people though - I'd stop and look to if I saw this: http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y71/jeffebme/DSCF1735.jpg

  • Washing (Nappies, Clothes & towels)
  • Dishes (bottles and breakfast dishes)
  • Fold yesterdays laundry & put away
  • Clear the ironing basket
  • and anything else I get in will be a bonus!

Suraya has her pre-school orientation day this afternoon, I am so excited for her, I know she is going to have such a great time but as I am sure other mum's know, it will also be a sad day. My baby weill be growing, her brother's will miss her to play with during the day and the house will be so quiet! *Sob* Better get onto that to do list!

Ahh, does this work?

Ahh, just came back to test if the Nappycino webring doohicky I just put on works..Seems to..lol..Well I'll beback tomorrow to add more.

Hi to all the Nappycino readers :-) I'm pretty new there too but then again I don't get that much spare time to post, but I do read often!

Night (for real this time..lol)

Today is a new day..and a hot one!

Suraya

Luke, Charlie & Wil

Ahh, a blog, what an original idea..lol..I wonder how often I'll remember to update it? Time will tell.

I guess I should tell you a little about us, might be kinda nifty for you to have an idea of who we are so as it makes a little more sense :-)

I'm Melissa, a 34yo WAHM to Eb 13y DD, Suraya 4y DD, Charlie 20m DS, Luke & William 10m DS's. I'm married to my wonderful, patient and very understanding best friend Jeff. He's a car nut and suffered some sad news this week. He took Thursday of last week off as I and 3 kids had gastro, then he had an RDO on Friday so decided to go to a shed he and his mate use to house their cars that they are restoring, and do some small welding jobs for afore mentioned mate. It was a total fire ban day so he welded in the shed, the shed caught fire, burnt 3 cars, some of our larger kids chrissy presents and a ton of furniture and car parts. The contents and shed were fully insured but Jeff has been working on his car alone for almost 10 years now. He has some small burns on his hands but is otherwise unharmed (Thank god!) He and his mate are devestated!

Anyway, it turns out most of our chrissy presents that were there were unharmed, and we only lost 1 - the slide for the exsisting swing set. But the local paper did a story and made it sounds like we lost ALL pressies, we've been inundated with offers of replacement presents. It's very nice to see the christmas spirit alive and well. We have ofcourse declined all offers and explained our extremely good fortune :-)

The kids had a good but tiring day today. After I finished work this morning we went to the outdoor sunday market, it was sweltering and we should have stayed at home. The kids were hot and grumpy so we went from there to my Mum and Dad's, which was great, the kids can play, it's cool and we all had lunch. All kids but Eb fell asleep on the way home so we carried everyone in for their arvo nap and I did some more work.

On exciting news, it was an itti bitti stocking at Nurture Nappies last night, I scored a nice new white one :-) Will also be waiting for the Monster stocking at itti this week. I just love them.

As we still have 3 in nappies, I feel highly justified in buying and buying and buying some more. Dh thinks otherwise..lol..I've just this week received fluffy mail from Nicky @ NicNaps. Ohh, how do I love these :-) 9 adorable AIO's. I also managed to score 2 fruit salad pockets last night and am pretty chuffed about that. All 3 boys are horrors at having their bum's changed so AIO's are fantastic.

Well, I've just realised how late it is so I might head off to bed. Before I go I'll share some pics of my babies :-) That are up the top, not sure why they won't go here but am too tired to care right now. And I'll load the rest tomorrow..Night
